Biographical Information[edit]

Jesus Castillo has pitched as high as AAA.

Castillo was picked by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 27th round of the 2003 amateur draft. He had a 4-1, 1.90 record and WHIP under 1 for the 2004 DSL Dodgers 2. In 2005, he went 1-2 with a 2.96 ERA for the Columbus Catfish. During 2006, he turned in a 2-5, 2.88 record for the Ogden Raptors. He was 5th in the Pioneer League in ERA, right behind Rowdy Hardy. In 2007, the Mexico native fell to 6-9, 4.78 with the Inland Empire 66ers.

Pitching for the Jacksonville Suns in 2008, Castillo had a good year at 7-4, 3.24. He finished third in the Southern League in ERA behind Justin Cassel and teammate James McDonald. The Dodgers put him on their 40-man roster for 2009, which he spent with the Chattanooga Lookouts (7-9, 4.31). He was placed on waivers in late August and went unclaimed. He split 2010 between the Lookouts (4-10, 3.83) and Albuquerque Isotopes (1-5, 10.27).
