Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Jason Goldstein was drafted twice. The first time was by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 17th round of the 2015 amateur draft and the second by the Seattle Mariners in the 9th round of the 2016 amateur draft.

He split 2016 between the AZL Mariners and the Everett AquaSox of the Northwest League, playing a total of 19 games during which he hit .279/.328/.311. His professional debut had been delayed because of a hamstring injury. On January 26, 2017, he was traded to the Oakland Athletics in return for P Dillon Overton. Goldstein spent 2017 with the Beloit Snappers. He played at three levels in the Athletics system in 2018, including taking a walk in his only AAA plate appearance for the Nashville Sounds.

In 2020 the Kansas City Royals hired Goldstein as the development coach for the Lexington Legends before the minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19. He will be the development coach for the Columbia Fireflies in 2021.
