Biographical Information[edit]
Jamie Baum has played for the USA women's national team.
She was the first female baseball player at Los Altos (CA) High School and also was four-time All-Conference in basketball, scoring over 1,000 career points. [1] She was the leading scorer and rebounder as a freshman at Rose-Hulman and was student manager of the baseball team. [2] She made the US team for the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. In the 2023 portion, she was the starting pitcher against South Korea. She got Soo-ji Ahn on a grounder. She walked Eun-jeong Joo but recovered to strike out Ju-a Park and Nu-ri Shin. She wound up going three shutout innings, fanning five and allowing two hits, before Cody Eckert and Olivia Pichardo wrapped up the shutout win; she got the victory over Sayuri Ono. Her other game, she pinch-hit for Kylee Lahners and took over at first base in a 29-0 rout of Hong Kong. She flew out against Lok-Io Chan but then smacked a three-run homer off Debby Su-Yee Mak her other plate appearance. She tied for the tourney lead in homers and tied for third in wins. [3]
