Biographical Information[edit]

Nu-ri Shin has played for the South Korean women's national team.

Shin debuted in the 2017 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, playing one game. She started in center versus India and was retired by Shweta Das her first time up. She was 0-for-2 and handled one putout before being replaced by Ji-hye Kim. [1] In the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, she hit .192/.250/.231 and fielded .917, playing regularly. [2] She was excellent in a part-time role in the 2019 Women's Baseball Asian Cup - 4-for-6 with two walks, three steals, five runs, five RBI, a double and a triple for a 1945 OPS. [3]

Playing center in the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, she hit .333/.455/.333 with four hit-by-pitch, six runs and five RBI in six games. She had five putouts, one assist and no errors. She tied Jialiang Pi for the most times plunked. [4] That helped her team advance to the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. She had 3 RBI in their opener against Hong Kong and finished at .273/.429/.455. She led the team in OPS, 9 ahead of Ye-seo Kim. [5]
