Biographical Information[edit]

Soo-ji Ahn has played for the South Korean women's national team.

In the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, she hit .450/.560/.450 with 11 runs and 4 steals (caught twice) in six games; she had four putouts and one error in left field. She had a 3-run game in the Bronze Medal Game victory after scoring four against Indonesia earlier. She was retired by Ayami Sato of Japan her first time up and got her first hit off Indonesia's Ni Putu Radha Ananditha Putri. She was second in the Cup in runs (two behind Yaya Kojima), tied Seo-jin Yang for second in hits (9), tied Yang for 5th in RBI (8) and was 3rd in HBP (3). She did not make the All-Star outfield as Kojima, Yang and Hsiao-Mei Chen were chosen. [1] She batted .333/.429/.333 in the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup and saved her team from being no-hit by Canada's Sarah Pengelly by collecting their lone hit of the day. Her four hits paced South Korea in the event. [2]
