Chen hit .455/.519/.591 with 6 RBI in 9 games in the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup; the 19-year-old DH/RF had five putouts and no errors. She was 4-for-4 with 3 runs, 3 RBI and a double in a win over the Netherlands. In a rematch with them, her sacrifice fly off Donna Hartman scored Shih-Yun Lee with the winner. She tied Yung-Hsin Chen for the team lead in hits and average and was second to Yung-Hsin Chen in slugging. She joined Iori Miura and Jenna Flannigan as the All-Star outfielders, the only Taiwanese player to be picked for the All-Star squad. [1]

She remained hot in the 2014 Women's Baseball World Cup with a .471/.409/.647 batting line, driving in 13 runs in six games and having 7 putouts, 3 assists and no errors in right field. She had 3 RBI against Canada, was 3 for 3 with 3 runs and 4 RBI versus Hong Kong and had four RBI against Venezuela. In the 5th/6th place game, she drove in two more against Venezuela in a 4-0 victory. She tied Christina Kreppold for second in the event in doubles (one behind teammate Chu-Yu Pan), easily led in RBI (five ahead of runners-up Yukiko Kon and Tahnee Lovering), tied Shae Lillywhite for 2nd in total bases (11, 4 behind Pan), was 6th in slugging among those with 10+ AB (between Sarah Hudek and Yu-Chen Hsu) and ranked 10th in OPS (between Jade Gortarez and Bradi Wall). She repeated as an All-Star outfielder, joining Miura and Akiko Shimura. [2]

After missing the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, she started in center and backed up at 1B in the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup. She hit .324/.467/.348 with 8 runs, 6 walks and 3 steals (not caught) in 9 games, handling 20 putouts error-free. She tied for 10th in the Cup in runs. Hitting 3rd in the Gold Medal Game, she was 1 for 3 off Japan's Ayami Sato in a 6-0 loss; it was still Taiwan's best finish in a Women's Baseball World Cup. [3]

Chen played for the Hyogo Dione in the Japanese Women's Baseball League in 2020. [4]
