Chu-Yu Pan has played for the Taiwanese women's national team. Her brother Chieh-Kai Pan played in the CPBL
Pan hit .353/.353/.412 with 2 RBI in the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup. She hit a clutch RBI single against the Netherlands and scored on Yu-Han Liu's hit to help Taiwan got a 6-5 win. [1] The young second baseman remained hot in the 2014 Women's Baseball World Cup with a .529/.619/.882 batting line with a team-leading 1.501 OPS. She was 3 for 3 with 4 runs and 2 doubles against Venezuela. In the 5th/6th place game, she was 2 for 2 with a triple and scored 2 times against Venezuela in a 4-0 victory. She led the event in doubles (one ahead of teammate Hsiao-Mei Chen), total bases (4 ahead of Chen and Shae Lillywhite), slugging among those with 10+ AB (.215 ahead Miki Atsugase), and runs (two ahead of teammate Yu-Ying Hsieh). She ranked 3rd in stolen bases (5, 2 behind Tsz-Yan Leung), was 5th in batting average among those with 10+ AB (.529) and ranked 3rd in hits (1 behind Lillywhite). Lillywhite won All-Star honors instead. [2] She represented Taiwan in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup again, but only had 7 at-bats and collected two singles and a RBI; Yu-Hsuan Chen took over at second base. [3]
