Hadlock Field in Portland, ME, is the home of the Portland Sea Dogs, the Boston Red Sox' Double-A Eastern League farm team. The easternmost stadium hosting a team in a U.S.-based affiliated league opened in 1994, when the Dogs were founded as the Double-A partner of the then-Florida Marlins.

The brick-and-green beauty is named for Edson J. Hadlock Jr., who coached Portland High School baseball for 28 seasons ending in 1978. It has elevated bullpens and a lighthouse that rises from the center-field fence upon a Sea Dog homer or victory. A likeness of Fenway Park's Green Monster was added when the Dogs joined the BoSox' farm system.

Hit with a foot of snow 23 days before their 2017 opener, the club laid "black sand" that Saturday and says the snow was nearly gone by the following Monday.

In 2007, the Dogs played before a crowd of nearly 35,000 at Fenway during its 2006-2014 Futures at Fenway series.

The Dogs report home sell-outs as 7,368.
