Biographical Information[edit]
Erwin Bosito has been on the Philippines national team.
Bosito went 2 for 9 with two runs, a RBI and 3 steals in 4 tries in the 2017 Asian Championship. He tied Sameera Rathnayake and Min-seob Song for second in swipes in the event, one behind Min-hyeok Kim. [1] He led the 2018 East Asian Baseball Cup with six steals and the Philippines won the title. [2] The fleet-footed flyhawk was at it again in the 2019 Asian Championship. He hit .375/.375/.400 (only Jennald Pareja had a higher average for the Filipinos) and went 4-for-4 in steals; he was one steal ahead of runner-ups Rathnayake, Jonash Ponce and Juan Diego Lozano. His 14 putouts tied Amila Pushpa Kumara for the outfield lead. [3]
He led the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in average (.538) and presumably in steals as he swiped 15 bases in their 4 games as the Philippines took the Gold. [4] He was with them when they won the 2023 East Asian Baseball Cup. [5] He then was with them for the 2023 Asian Games. [6]
