Biographical Information[edit]
Dave Barnett played one season in the Montreal Expos chain, in 1979. An outfielder, he hit .154 in 4 games for the Calgary Expos and .198 in 34 games for the Jamestown Expos.
Barnett was an assistant coach at Valencia Community College and three seasons at the University of Iowa. He was the head coach at Flagler College beginning in 1988, and the Athletic Director in 1997. He remained head coach through 2024, winning over 1,050 games and developing major leaguers Chris Barnwell, Kyle Bird and Blair Calvo.
Barnett also managed the Vermont Expos in 2002-2003.
