Biographical Information[edit]
1B/C Darin Everson played in the Montreal Expos' chain in 1994-1995 and the Boston Red Sox chain in 1998. He played for the Madison Black Wolf in 1996, hitting .310 with 13 home runs in 300 at-bats. He then hit .297 with 17 homers in 309 at-bats for Madison in 1997. Each time he was beat out for all-star honors by Terry Lee. Returning to the Northern League in 1999 after his season in the Red Sox system, Everson hit .306 with 12 homers in 333 at-bats to earn the all-star nod at first base.
Everson was an assistant coach at Madison Area Technical College, head coach at Oregon (WI) High School and an associate scout for the Baltimore Orioles [1]. He was a coach for the Jupiter Hammerheads in 2006, Tulsa Drillers in 2013-2014 and Albuquerque Isotopes in 2017. In 2018, he was named the Colorado Rockies' minor league hitting and bunting coordinator. Everson moved to the New York Mets' organization as hitting coach of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in 2023-2024.
