Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Daniel Mayora began his professional career in 2004 (?). He was signed by the Colorado Rockies on June 18, 2003.
He played stateside for the first time in 2005. In 2006, with the Tri-City Dust Devils, Mayora hit .304/.375/.442 with 84 hits in 74 games to earn Post-Season All-Star honors. In 2007, he batted .312/.367/.479 with 14 home runs, 78 RBI, 88 runs scored, 42 doubles and 26 stolen bases in 127 games for the Asheville Tourists to earn South Atlantic League Mid- and Post-Season All-Star selections. He made his second Mid-Season All-Star team in 2009 after stealing 20 bases in 122 games for the Tulsa Drillers of the Texas League and, in 2010, he earned another TL Mid-Season All-Star selection.
He became a free agent following the 2010 season and signed with the Tampa Bay Rays for 2011. He hit .305/.388/.482 in 73 games for the Montgomery Biscuits to earn his fourth Mid-Season All-Star selection. He also played at Triple-A for the first time that year, hitting .262/.317/.353 in 51 games for the Durham Bulls. He joined his fifth Mid-Season All-Star squad while playing for the Richmond Flying Squirrels of the San Francisco Giants system in 2012. In 2013, he was with the independent Bridgeport Bluefish, hitting .306/.356/.419 in 108 games and was a league All-Star. He joined the Chattanooga Lookouts of the Los Angeles Dodgers system for 2014 and batted .302/.356/.428 in 131 games. He returned to the Dodgers system for 2015.
