Biographical Information[edit]

Chris Falls has played baseball in France and Germany.

A native of Canada, Falls played for Mississippi Valley State University in college. In 2004, he hit .190 as a sophomore. He batted .231/.414/.231 as a junior and .235/.400/.235 as a senior in 2006. He stole 16 bases in 19 tries over his last 3 years in college.

In 2006, Falls came to France and played for the Templiers de Sénart in the Division Élite. He moved to Germany in 2007 with the Tübingen Hawks; he was their offensive star, batting .333/.396/.448, leading the worst offense in the Bundesliga-1's southern division in almost every category.

Falls was recruited for the British national team by Geoff Freeborn. He hit .308/.438/.462 for Britain in the 2007 European Championship, backing up Adam Roberts at second base, and helping the team to their second Silver Medal ever at a European Championship.

Falls moved to the Mannheim Tornados in 2008, producing at a .343/.469/.539 clip with 28 runs in 28 games; he was the starting second baseman on the team that won the southern Bundesliga-1 title. He tied for 5th in the league in home runs (4), tied Philipp Howard for 4th in runs, was 4th in walks (20), was 7th in slugging, was 8th in OBP and was 7th in OPS. His OPS fell all the way to 607 in the postseason.

In 2009, Chris hit .341/.422/.429 for Mannheim with 22 RBI and 26 runs in 23 games, again mostly at 2B. He was among the league leaders in average (10th), RBI (4th), hits (31, 10th) and runs (4th). His 79 assists were the most by anyone who was not primarily a shortstop.

He played in 2 games for the Yuma Scorpions of the North American League in 2011.

Falls was a competitive alpine ski racer for 8 years.
