Biographical Information[edit]

Ching Connor Kwok has pitched for the Hong Kong national team.

Kwok was in the 2011 U-12 Baseball World Cup, 2014 U-15 Baseball World Cup and 2015 East Asian Baseball Cup. In the 2017 Asian Championship, he was on the roster but did not appear. He pitched one hitless, scoreless inning in the 2018 East Asian Baseball Cup with a walk and a strikeout. He was 1-1 with a 5.54 ERA in the 2018 World University Championship, losing to Russia but beating Australia for Hong Kong's only win. He struggled in his two outings in the 2018 Asian Games, when he was Hong Kong's youngest player (7 months younger than fellow pitcher Lai-Him Lam). Against Bronze Medal winner Taiwan, he relieved Gordon Chun-Ming Chau in the bottom of the 4th with a 13-1 deficit, one out and one on. He retired Hao-Wei Shen and Hsiao-Yun Chen to end that inning. In the 5th, though, he gave up doubles to Wei-Chih Chen and Jui-Mu Chen and a single to Tzu-Chieh Lin to make it 14-1. Chun-Pang Yuen relieved and both inherited runners would score. Against Gold Medal winner South Korea, he relieved Lam in the 9th with a 11-3 deficit. He walked Ji-hwan Oh and hit Chi-hong An, then threw a wild pitch and walked Byung-ho Park. Yuen relieved and all three runners would score as part of a ten-run inning. His 54.00 ERA for the event was not the highest on Hong Kong as Chau was at 63.00.
