Chi Lin has been on the Taiwanese women's national team.
She backed up Shih-Yun Lee at catcher in the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup. Her first game was versus South Korea, singling off Ji-hye Lee her first time up. She finished 2-for-4 with a walk, hit-by-pitch, two steals, a run and two RBI, handling seven chances error-free for the Silver Medalists. [1] In the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, she was 1-for-4 but with six walks, three steals, six runs and two RBI. She tied Kunnummal Sana Jinsiya Kacheri and Yaya Kojima for the walk lead. She threw out 2 of 5 who tried to steal; only Shyla Mae Celis threw out more (though she allowed 13 more swipes). Taiwan got Silver. [2]
Taiwan won a spot in the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. Lin only was with them for the 2023 phase, going 3-for-5 with 3 steals and 3 runs; she again backed up Shih-Yun Lee. In Pool B, she tied Chiao-Yun Huang, Libia Duarte and Yuki Kawabata for 4th in swipes. [3]
