Biographical Information[edit]
Libia Duarte has played for the Cuban women's national team.
She debuted in the 2015 Pan American Games, going 0 for 1 with a run, pinch-hitting once and pinch-running once. [1] In the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup, she had the lone Cuban hit off Venezuela's Josefina Cumana to dodge a no-hitter. It was her lone hit in 7 at-bats in the event, mostly at DH. [2]
Duarte hit .263/.333/.263 in the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, stealing four bases in six tries as Cuba's main first baseman. She handled 56 chances error-free. Only Malaika Underwood and Kate Psota had more error-free chances in the Cup. She tied for 9th in swipes as well. [3]
