He had a 5-1, 4.53 record and one save for Sydney in 1994-1995. He was 3-5 with a 4.36 ERA for the Everett AquaSox in 1995. He was 9th in the Northwest League in strikeouts (67), between John Rocker and Brian Cooper. He followed with a 2-2, 3.61 winter in 1995-1996. In the playoffs, he allowed two runs in six innings to beat the Perth Heat. Then, in the finals, he started game 1 and allowed 4 runs (3 earned) in 6 2/3 IP but beat Phil Dale and the Melbourne Reds. The Blues won their only title.

With the 1996 Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, Iddon did a fine job at 11-4 with 11 saves and a 2.78 ERA in 50 games, striking out 114 in 97 innings. He tied Gary Marshall for 9th in the Midwest League in games pitched. Among Mariners farmhands, he tied Brett Hinchliffe and Derek Lowe for 4th in wins, was 4th in saves, trailed only Dean Crow in games pitched and missed the top 10 in strikeouts by one. He was 2-1 with a save and a 4.44 ERA for the 1996-1997 Blues.

Seattle traded him to the Boston Red Sox for Lee Tinsley. In 1997, he was 1-1 with 3 saves and a 4.95 ERA for the Sarasota Red Sox. He went 8-2 with a 3.07 ERA for the Sydney Storm that winter. He was among the 1997-1998 ABL leaders in ERA (2nd, .24 behind Erick Nelson), wins (tied for first with Dale), lowest opponent average (.230, tied for first with Nelson), strikeouts (83, 3rd behind Dale and Shayne Bennett) and K/BB ratio (3.95:1, 3rd behind Bennett and Dale). He was named the ABL's second-team All-Star SP, behind Nelson. He was rocked by the Reds for ten runs in the first inning of a playoff game, though.

The San Diego Padres took him in the minor league portion of the 1997 Rule V Draft. He was 7-4 with a save and a 3.63 ERA for the 1998 Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. He missed all of 1999 with injury and came back with the independent Catskill Cougars in 2000, going 5-5 with a 5.48 ERA to end his career. He had gone 18-6 with 2 saves and a 3.65 ERA in 57 ABL games (33 starts) and 29-22 with 15 saves and a 4.06 ERA in 164 US games (159 starts).
