Biographical Information[edit]

Dean Crow appeared in 32 games in his one year in the majors. He was with the Detroit Tigers in 1998, going 2-2, 3.94 in 45 2/3 innings. Through 2019, Dean is the only major leaguer born in Garland, TX and the only one from Stratford (TX) High School. He attended San Jacinto College and Baylor, both in Texas. He pitched for seven years in the minors, all as a reliever, and had 76 saves. Most of his minor league career was in the Seattle Mariners organization. Since his playing days, he has run a baseball academy and worked in sales.
