Bohdan Kolesnikov has been on the Ukrainian national team.
In the 2023 Federations Cup, he pitched once for BioTexCom KNTU, allowing four hits and two walks but no runs in 2 2/3 IP against the K. Deurne Spartans; he struck out one (Leonel Reina Viant). [1] At age 17, he made the Ukrainian team for the 2023 European Championship. He debuted against Croatia, relieving Danyil Khodakovskyi in the 6th with a 10-0 deficit. He went 1-2-3 against Petar Rumora, Philip Smith and Ronnie Krsolovic but allowed a run in the 7th to end the game due to the mercy rule. He played right field against the Netherlands and went 0-for-2 but drew a walk from Aaron de Groot. He also relieved Sergii Shtapura in the second inning of a 15-0 loss to Italy and allowed four hits, three walks and four runs (three earned) in 2 1/3 IP, while striking out one (Federico Celli). He is listed with the loss against Matteo Bocchi even though the Ukraine was down 7-0 by the time he entered. [2]
