Biographical Information

Bohdan Kolesnikov has been on the Ukrainian national team.

In the 2023 Federations Cup, he pitched once for BioTexCom KNTU, allowing four hits and two walks but no runs in 2 2/3 IP against the K. Deurne Spartans; he struck out one (Leonel Reina Viant). At age 17, he made the Ukrainian team for the 2023 European Championship. He debuted against Croatia, relieving Danyil Khodakovskyi in the 6th with a 10-0 deficit. He went 1-2-3 against Petar Rumora, Philip Smith and Ronnie Krsolovic but allowed a run in the 7th to end the game due to the mercy rule. He played right field against the Netherlands and went 0-for-2 but drew a walk from Aaron de Groot. He also relieved Sergii Shtapura in the second inning of a 15-0 loss to Italy and allowed four hits, three walks and four runs (three earned) in 2 1/3 IP, while striking out one (Federico Celli). He is listed with the loss against Matteo Bocchi even though the Ukraine was down 7-0 by the time he entered.
