Biographical Information

Petar Rumora has played for the Croatian national team.

Rumora hit .269/.361/.383 as a junior at the College of St. Joseph and .279/.357/.406 as a senior in 2017-2018. He starred for Olimpija Karlovac when they won the 2021 Federations Cup at .579/.667/.895 with 8 runs and 10 RBI in 5 games. He was 4th in the high-offense event in runs, tied for second in RBI (12 behind teammate Jose Herrera), was second in average (.100 behind Herrera), ranked second in OBP (.052 behind Herrera) and was third in slugging and OPS.

Having obtained Croatian citizenship, he played for Croatia in the 2021 European Championship. Starting at first base, he hit 8th in their opener against Germany. He was retired twice by veteran Enorbel Márquez before doubling in the 7th to score Antonio Horvatić and Andrew Jones as part of an upset win. It was his only extra-base hit of the tourney and he finished at .250/.316/.313 with one run and three RBI in six games, fielding .956.
