Biographical Information[edit]

Beicker Mendoza has played in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team.

He was signed by San Francisco Giants scout Jonathan Arraiz in July 2014. [1] He hit .300/.354/.383 for the 2015 DSL Giants. In 2016, he came stateside and produced at a .272/.300/.316 clip for the AZL Giants. He remained with them in 2017 and hit .237/.267/.403 in reduced action, 9 of his 17 hits going for extra bases. In 2018, he batted .301/.330/.462 with 16 doubles and 35 RBI in 44 games for the AZL Giants Orange. He tied Alexander Guerra for second in the Arizona League in doubles (two behind Nick Gatewood) and tied Frankie Tostado for fourth in RBI.

Mendoza slipped to .261/.307/.403 for the 2019 Salem-Keizer Volcanoes to end his minor league career with a .281/.321/.398 batting line, 83 runs and 96 RBI in 180 games, having rapped 46 doubles. He had fielded .986 at 1B and .925 in the outfield. He was a solid contributor for Venezuela in the 2022 Bolivarian Games, playing left, first and DH. His first at-bat came against former major leaguer Alfredo Figaro of the Dominican national team. He hit into fielder's choice to score Junnell Ledezma and then he came home on a Juan Bidau double. His first hit came off Peru's Jonathan Farías, scoring Yoandy Rea. He finished the Games at .333/.444/.600 with five RBI in six games (including a homer off Peru's Ken Ishihara and he handled 10 chances error-free. He tied Bidau, Stanley Javier and Jesús Posso for 4th in the Games in RBI while Venezuela won the Bronze. [2]
