Biographical Information[edit]
Juan Bidau has played in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team.
He spent three years in the Texas Rangers chain. He hit .238/.336/.347 for the 2017 DSL Rangers, as a backup middle infielder. He played mostly third and right for the '18 DSL Rangers 1, producing at .253/.376/.320 clip with 39 walks and 42 runs in 64 games. As a utility man for the 2019 DSL Rangers 2, he batted .247/.351/.364 with 25 walks in 46 games.
Bidau was the starting shortstop for Venezuela in the 2022 Bolivarian Games. His first at-bat came against former major leaguer Alfredo Figaro of the Dominican national team. Leading off, h e grounded out his first time, but hit a two-run double off Figaro the next trip up and finished the day with four RBI. [1]
