Biographical Information[edit]

Aviv Bobrov has played for the Israeli national team.

Bobrov represented Israel in both baseball and softball youth events. In the 2021 U18 European Championship, he hit .333/.500/.417 and throwing one shutout inning. [1] During the 2022 U18 Euros, he batted .353/.419/.412 and went 2-0, beating Zane Hendrickx and Belgium and allowing one hit in four shutout to beat Ireland. The rest of the staff was 0-5. Only Spain's Ángelo Rodríguez had more wins. He also tied Giacomo Taschin for second in IP (11) and led in ERA by .71. [2]

At age 17, he was the youngest player on Israel's team in the 2023 European Championship. He played one game, relieving DJ Sharabi in the 4th with a 9-2 lead over Belgium. He began by striking out Nando Mostaert and allowed a run that inning as Sam Boermans singled and Yves Poesmans doubled him in. He went 1-2-3 in the 5th against Lucas Rizzi, Drew Janssen and Axel Poesmans. After a one-out walk to Dennis De Quint in the 6th, he whiffed Boermans and Julien Muyldermans to end the frame. Shlomo Lipetz (who had already wrapped up his collegiate career before Bobrov was born) relieved him and Bobrov got the win over Edouard Vanheer. [3]
