Julien Muyldermans has played in the First Division and for the Belgian national team.
He was 0 for 5 for the MSG Phoenix in 2019, debuting at age 15. [1] In 2021, he hit .192/.364/.192 in Belgium. [2] He was 0 for 4 with 3 walks and a run in the 2021 U23 European Championship. [3] During '22, he improved to .349/.474/.556 and tied for fifth with four triples. [4]
In the 2022 U18 European Championship, he struck out in both of his at-bats. [5] During the 2023 Belgian season, he was at .252/.457/.336 with 30 walks and 33 runs in 33 games. He was 4th in triples (3) and tied Lino Ballardini for 3rd in walks. [6] That year during the U23 European Championship, he hit .333/.375/.333 and fielded .857 as a regular at short for Belgium. [7] He wrapped up the year making it to Belgium's senior team, for the 2023 European Championship. He played one game, starting at short against Israel. He drew a Matt Soren walk his first time up then was retired twice by Aviv Bobrov. He drew a walk from Benny Wanger and came around to score. He was lifted for PH Robin Roevens in the 9th, down 11-8 with two men aboard and two outs. [8]
