Andy Leer has played in the Hoofdklasse. He debuted in 2006, going 3 for 11 for DOOR Neptunus. In 2007, he batted .314/.364/.510 as a backup to Johnny Balentina in center field. He started in left field in 2008 and hit .291/.365/.355, but was 0 for 8 in the playoffs. He tied for 10th in the league in swipes, going 8 for 8, even with René Cremer, Danny Rombley, Gino Henson and Bart Gabriëls.
Leer fell to .148/.257/.164 in 2009, backing up Eugene Kingsale in left and splitting right field with Lennart Koster and Matt McGraw. He played 3 innings in the field in the 2009 Holland Series, won by Neptunus.
Leer joined the Antilles national team for the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games.
