Matt McGraw signed with DOOR Neptunus for 2009.
McGraw hit .565 as a high school senior. In 2004, he hit .344 for the University of Maine. He represented Canada in the 2004 World University Championship. During 2005, Matt hit .291/.348/.376. He improved to .333/.437/.488 as a junior, stole 17 bases in 19 tries and scored 55 runs in 54 games. He led the America East Conference with 36 walks. He spent the summer with the Anchorage Glacier Pilots, hitting .221. In 2007, the senior batted .288/.360/.425 with 19 steals in 23 attempts and 43 runs in 53 games. He batted .398 for the 2008 Burlington Brants of the Central Ontario Baseball Major League, swiping 30 bases.
For 2009, McGraw signed with Neptunus. He debuted as their #7 hitter and DH on Opening Day, going 1 for 4 with a RBI.
