Bart Gabriëls is the brother of Stijn Gabriëls. He hit .218/.328/.255 for ADO in 2005 and fielded .919 as their primary shortstop. In 2006, he batted .195/.322/.258 for Mr. Cocker HCAW and fielded .892 at third base, the worst percentage of any Hoofdklasse starting third baseman.

In 2007, the 22-year-old hit only .206/.316/.265 for HCAW as a SS-RF. He improved to .306/.393/.371 in 2008, 15th in the league in OBP and tied for 10th in steals (8 in 9 tries). He fielded just .886 at short.

Gabriëls hit .232/.312/.297 in 2009. He fielded .886 as the HCAW shortstop with 24 errors in 38 games. He was last among the league's starting shortstops in fielding.
