Ed Andrews and Ray Mack are the most prominent major league players to come from Case Western Reserve University. The school was formed from the merger of Western Reserve University and Case Institute of Technology in 1967. In reality, Case and Western Reserve merged after their playing days. Mack attended Case, likewise Andrews would have come from one or the other of the two institutions.
Western Reserve University was formerly known as Adelbert College of Western Reserve, or simply Adelbert College.
