Biographical Information[edit]
Jack Allen was the first major leaguer out of Case Western Reserve University. In reality, he went to Western Reserve, as Western Reserve and Case merged long after Allen was there. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a dental degree but there is no record of his playing baseball there.
He later practiced dentistry and was a fruit grower. He died at William McKinley Memorial Hospital, in Trenton, NJ, although some sources wrongly list Girard, PA as his place of death.
