Biographical Information[edit]
Longtime Cleveland sportwriter and editor Hal Lebovitz was the recipient of the J.G. Taylor Spink Award in 1999. He wrote for the Cleveland News and Cleveland Plain Dealer and was best known for his "Ask Hal, the Referee" column. He was a contributor to The Sporting News for 47 years.
