2024 Caribbean Baseball Cup
The 2024 Caribbean Baseball Cup is the sixth Caribbean Baseball Cup and features six teams, with San Maarten making their debut. Results below are incomplete as there was no website that tracked the results, unlike in 2022-2023. October 23[edit]
- Cuba 9, Saint Martin (Netherlands) 0. CF Darian Palma has 3 hits and 3 runs produced while José Ignacio Bermúdez and two relievers strike out 14 in a rough debut for St. Martin. Ben Meyer is handed the loss.
- Curaçao 8, Dominican Republic 1. The other Dutch entry starts strong as Misja Harcksen and two relief pitchers allow one run. DH Christian Diaz is 3-for-3 with 3 RBI and 3B Riordan Windster adds three hits as well. Brayant Capellan gets the defeat.
- The Bahamas 3, United States Virgin Islands 1. The hosts start off with a two-hit complete game by Deshaughn Forbes. CF Chavez Young triples, steals two and scores a pair. The decision for the Virgin Islands goes to Jordan Scott. LF Jahmoi Percival and C Michael Rivera have the lone hits for their team.
October 24[edit]
- Saint Martin (Netherlands) 8, The Bahamas 0. San Maarten gets their first win, stunning the hosts. Daniel Vos pitches a five-hitter and SS Alex Madera has four hits. 3B Kristin Munroe has two hits for the Bahamas; Mateo Ferguson is the losing hurler.
- United States Virgin Islands 4, Curaçao 3. In another upset, the Virgin Islands top Curaçao. Alex Jacobs gets the win while SS Zayd Brannigan lead the offense. RF/3B Marioshendrick Martinus plays a role in all three runs for his team, the loss going to Mike Groen.
- Cuba 8, Dominican Republic 2. Cuba is the lone unbeaten team as Albert Valladares gets the win over Rafael García. 2B Yulieski Remón drives in four.
October 25[edit]
- United States Virgin Islands 6, Cuba 5. 1B Izzy Wilson and DH Conroy Samuel III each drive in a pair in a comeback win, the victory going to Mark Knight over Sammy Benítez. 2B Yulieski Remón scored twice for Cuba.
- Saint Martin (Netherlands) 2, Dominican Republic 1. Jack Wagner throws a complete game while counterpart Brayant Capellan doesn't make it out of the first. 2B Oscar Bustamante and SS Alex Madera score in the first, the only runs their team would need.
- Curaçao 11, The Bahamas 1. SS Darren Seferina has 3 hits and 4 RBI to back a complete game by Siamani Boekhoudt, beating Lamour Roberto. RF D'Shawn Knowles doubles and homers but his teammates muster only one hit.
October 26[edit]
- Dominican Republic 4, United States Virgin Islands 3. Yonawil Florimon gets the first Dominican win, beating Te'relle George in a close game. The first basemen each drive in two runs and have multiple hits - Randy Francisco for the Dominicans, Izzy Wilson for the Virgin Islands.
- Curaçao 5, Saint Martin (Netherlands) 0. The Dutch teams face off and Jeandrick Lourens throws a one-hitter, topping Sven van de Sanden. SS Alex Madera prevents the no-hit bid while his counterpart Darren Seferina drives in a pair.
- Cuba 5, The Bahamas 2. Francisco Martínez drives in two, while Osdany Rodríguez gets the win over AAA veteran Tahnaj Thomas. 1B Lahiem Bell is 2-for-2 for the losing side.
October 27[edit]
- United States Virgin Islands 10, Saint Martin (Netherlands) 5. Jordan Scott improves to 1-1 and SS Zayd Brannigan has two runs and two RBI in the win. 1B/CF Victor Draijer drives in two for Sint Maarten, the decision going to Yassir Lachkar.
- Curaçao 2, Cuba 1. José Ignacio Bermúdez falls to 1-1 as 1B Kevin Josephina doubles in DH Arjun Huerta and SS Darren Seferina. Nkosi Didder throws 4 2/3 shutout innings of relief.
- Dominican Republic 4, The Bahamas 1. After their opening win, the hosts slip to last. Christopher Rodriguez gets the win. Only a hit by 3B Terrell Outen prevents a Dominican threesome from a combined no-hitter. RF Francisco Gonzalez homers and drives in three.
October 28[edit]
- Curaçao 2, United States Virgin Islands 1. Cerilio Soleano gets the win and Ericson Leonora drives in the winning run as Curaçao takes its second Cup while the Virgin Islands get their best finish yet. Alex Jacobs does not allow an unearned run in a complete game loss.
- Cuba 2, Saint Martin (Netherlands) 1. Cuba gets the Bronze while Sint Maarten has a solid fourth-place debut. CF Darian Palma goes 3-for-3 with the game's lone extra-base hit. Yosiel Serrano defeats Daniel Vos. CF Victor Draijer gets the lone run for Sint Maarten.
