The 2022 Los Angeles Dodgers went into the season as favorites to post the best record in the National League and did not disappoint. Their failure to win a division title in 2021 was seen as a blip caused more by the completely unexpected incredible season of the San Francisco Giants and not any failure of the Dodgers themselves. And the Dodgers' success was anything but a one-year blip: the y had won over 100 games in both 2017 and 2019, before doing so in 2021, and would have likely done so again in 2020 if the season had not been cut short to 60 games (their 43 wins that year were the equivalent of 116 over a full season). they had also won 8 straight division titles before being edged out by the Giants. 2022 did not disappoint, as they won another division title with the best record in the leagues. On October 1st, they recorded their 110th win in their 158th game, becoming the third team in NL history tor each the mark, the others having been the 1906 Chicago Cubs (who won 116) and the 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates (who had also won 110).
