1999 World Port Tournament
The 1999 World Port Tournament was the eighth World Port Tournament and the second won by the host Dutch national team (5-4) in a close competition. Defending champion Cuba (5-4) finished second. The Sullivans (3-4) finished third, followed by the Taiwan national team (3-4). It was held from June 25 through July 4, 1999. In the Gold Medal games, the Netherlands beat Cuba 2 games to 1. Five former or future major leaguers appeared - Chien-Ming Wang (Taiwan), Chin-Hui Tsao (Taiwan), Hong-Chih Kuo (Taiwan), Rikkert Faneyte (Netherlands) and Robert Eenhoorn (Netherlands).

- Best Contact Hitter: Jamie Abbgy, Sullivans (.480, 12 for 25)
- Best Pitcher: Orlando Stewart, Netherlands (1-0, 1.04)
- Home Run King: Mike Davies, Sullivans (2 HR, .688 slugging)
- MVP: Robert Eenhoorn, Netherlands (.316) & Ken Brauckmiller (.280), Netherlands - 10 double plays
- Most Popular Player: Ryan Pond, Sullivans
- Best Rookie: Chung-Nan Tsai, Taiwan (1-1, 1.74, 28 K in 20 2/3 IP)
