The 1966 International League season was the 81st in the league's history, and ended with the Toronto Maple Leafs winning their second straight Governors' Cup. The Governors' Cup semifinals were shortened to a best-of-five series, as well.
This was the first season for the Richmond Braves, who spent over 40 years in the IL.
