Biographical Information[edit]
Zach Stroman has played for the British national team.
Stroman played for his hometown London Mets. In 2018, he hit .256/.365/.318 in college in the US, then .258/.346/.452 in 2019. He batted .377/.532/.753 with 38 RBI in 26 games for the 2021 London Mets. He led the league in RBI and tied for the lead with six home runs. He then made Britain's team for the 2021 European Championship, splitting 1B with Alex Crosby and RF with Grant Kerry. He debuted in a 7-6 loss to Russia, pinch-hitting for Nateshon Thomas. He grounded out against Denis Leonov, stayed in as the right fielder and struck out versus Leonov. Starting at 1B in a 12-11 win over Belgium, he was 3 for 3 with two walks, plus scored the winning run in the 9th; he drew a walk from Yves Poesmans and scored on a fielder's choice grounder from Gabriel Rincones Jr. For the Euros, he hit .273/.364/.467 and handled 21 chances error-free; all three of his hits were versus Belgium.
