Biographical Information[edit]

Yoannet Domínguez played for the Cuban women's national team in the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. She debuted against Taiwan, relieving Isabel Gonzalez in the 4th with a 6-1 deficit, two out and one on. She allowed a RBI single to Chia-Yu Lin then got Wen-Ching Hsieh on a fly. She whiffed Yu-Chuang Tu and Chia-Hui Yang in a scoreless 5th but 3 of the first 4 reached in the 6th and Yanet Cruz took over; Yoannet was charged with two runs (one earned). She went the distance (4 H, 4 BB, 4 K) to beat France's Cassandra Vigneau but lost to Ayami Sato and Japan when she allowed 8 hits, 4 walks and 8 runs (7 earned) in 2 2/3 IP; Marian Verdecia relieved. She had Cuba's only win and only Cruz had more innings pitched. She tied Cruz and Camille Foucher for the most games pitched (3) in Group B, tied for the most starts, was 5th in IP (between Cruz and Foucher), tied Vigneau for second in hits allowed (behind Cruz), tied Léonie Pauthe for 3rd in runs allowed, tied Foucher for 3rd in earned runs allowed, tied Cruz for the most walks and was 3rd in strikeouts (behind Kana Onodera and Frandelis Garcia).
