Biographical Information[edit]
Victor Burgos was an outfielder who played independent ball from 2007-2008 with three different teams. Overall he hit .240/.273/.314 while appearing in 41 games for the St. Joe Blacksnakes, Grand Prairie AirHogs, and Schaumburg Flyers.
After his playing career Burgos remained active in baseball in the Dallas, TX area. From 2014-2021 he served as a head coach for the Dallas Tigers Baseball Club that sponsored travel baseball teams for different age groups. In a 2020-2021 venture, he was a lead instructor for the D-BAT Academy which offers baseball and softball training. He also coached in a more traditional setting as an assistant coach for the Fort Worth Christian School in 2018.
In 2019 Burgos supplemented these efforts by working as a hitting coach for the Gary SouthShore RailCats in the independent American Association. Three years later the New York Mets hired Burgos as a hitting coach for the St. Lucie Mets.
