Team Bio[edit]
The La Crosse Loggers joined the Northwoods League in 2003. Based out of LaCrosse, WI the Loggers are a non-profit organization which has hosted some of the most talented collegiate athletes from throughout the United States and Canada which is dedicated and designed to provide minor league level competition for NCAA players that wish to continue on into professional baseball. The Loggers operate in the model a Minor League team: playing nightly before fans in stadiums which seat thousands, using wood bats and minor league specification equipment, and experiencing road trips between games. Like all other summer collegiate players, the Loggers are unpaid in order to maintain their NCAA eligibility, and live with host families in the same manner as Single A and Independent League players.
Destpite not having hosted a team since the 1940's the City of LaCrosse, WI has taken to the Loggers, and they have quickly become one of the most popular teams in the Northwoods League. Despite being one of the younger teams in the league, the Loggers have had several players who have gone on to professional careers.
