Biographical Information[edit]

Ural Forbes has played for the Great Britain national team.

Forbes was 6 for 27 with 3 doubles and a walk as a junior at Jackson State. Transferring to Franklin Pierce, he hit .302/.369/.493 with 15 doubles in 51 games in 2019 and was second-team All-Northeast-10 Conference; he was fourth in the Northeast 10 with 23 extra-base hits. [1] He remained as graduate assistant coach in 2020-2021. [2] He was one of five Bahamas natives on Britain's team in the 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers alongside pitchers Tahnaj Thomas and Chavez Fernander as well as outfielders D'Shawn Knowles and Anfernee Seymour. [3] He did not play as Mariners prospect Harry Ford started at catcher, with Shamoy Christopher as the main back-up. Britain won a spot in the 2023 World Baseball Classic for their first trip to the World Baseball Classic. [4]
