Biographical Information[edit]

Trolle Brandt has played in the Elitserien and for the Swedish national team.

Brandt made his Elitserien debut in 2015 with Göteborg, hitting .109/.155/.127 and fielding .884 at his main position, second base. [1] In the 2016 European Junior Championship, he batted .238/.273/.286 for Sweden and fielded .900. [2] In the Elitserien that year, he hit .239/.341/.295 for the Rättvik Butchers. [3]

He blossomed in 2017, batting .349/.472/.524 for the Butchers with 29 runs, 22 walks and 12 steals in 14 tries. He was among the league leaders in steals (10th), average (10th, between Nicklas Melin and Per Sjörs), runs (tied Victor Croneld for 4th), doubles (9, tied Mikael Lindqvist for 3rd), triples (3, tied for 3rd), slugging (5th, between Melin and Pär Axelsson), OBP (10th) and walks (3rd, after Joel Johnson and Tommy Lindell). He fielded .878 at short. [4] The next year, he fielded .873 at SS and produced at a .421/.507/.578 clip. He led in OBP (.011 ahead of Simon Emanuelsson), was 4th in slugging and won the batting title (by .006). [5]

Trolle was one of three Swedish players for College of the Canyons in 2018-2019, alongside Oskar Syrén and Adam Hopkins. [6] He returned to the Butchers in 2020, hitting .416/.500/.750 in limited action. [7] In '21, he hit .230/.304/.328 for the Leksand Lumberjacks and fielded .826 at short. [8]

He then made Sweden's squad for the 2021 European Championship, serving as their starting second baseman. He went 0 for 3 against Boris Bokaj of the Czech national team in the opener. His first hit came the next game against Slovakia with a double off Michal Puškár, part of a 3-hit game. He finished the Euros at .250/.238/.300 with four RBI in six games, fielding .870. He tied for the team lead in RBI (with Melin, Joel Johnson and Daniel Johnson). He tied for 7th in the Euros in errors (3). [9]
