November 25: Today's featured birthday is that of Chico Walker, who turns 67.
- 1937 - Rudy York sets a major league record with his 18th home run of the month, this one hit at Navin Field. In August 1943, York will come up one homer short of tying his own record
- 1950 - Gil Hodges hits four homers in a 19-3 rout of the Boston Braves. Hodges' blasts at Ebbets Field make him the fourth major leaguer this century to hit four in one game, while his seventeen total bases are the most since 1894.
- 1957 - Steve Dalkowski of the Kingsport Orioles strikes out 24 batters in a 9-8 Appalachian League loss. Dalkowski also walks 18 and hits 4 batters.
- 1959 - Sandy Koufax sets the National League mark with 18 strikeouts of the San Francisco Giants in a 5-2 win.
- 1977 - Sadaharu Oh ties Hank Aaron with his 755th home run.
- 1990 - Ken Griffey Sr. plays left field for the Seattle Mariners next to Ken Griffey Jr. in center field. The Griffeys (pictured) become the first father-son pair to play as teammates in Major League Baseball.
