Biographical Information[edit]

Ryan Wheeler has been a college coach.

Wheeler was taken by the California Angels in the 31st round of the 1994 amateur draft. He played for the Boise Hawks that year, going 11 for 63 (all singles) with 16 walks. He fielded .952 as a utility infielder and allowed one run in 1 1/3 innings as a pitcher. He then was an assistant at the University of Pennsylvania for one year then at the College of William & Mary for nine. He was an assistant at the University of Richmond from 2007-2011. Wheeler coached Chris Rahl, Brendan Harris, Chris Ray and Bill Bray in college.

In 2012, he became head coach of Temple University but Temple dropped baseball after the 2014 season. He then moved to Saint Joseph's University as assistant coach.
