Biographical Information[edit]
Roy Baclay has pitched for the Philippines national team. He was 0-1 in the 2001 Baseball World Cup but his 2.70 ERA easily led the team. He had a 10.56 ERA in the 2002 Asian Games, losing to the Japanese national team and Taiwan. He was in the 2003 Asian Championship. He closed out a combined no-hitter with Joseph Orillana in the 2005 Southeast Asian Games, against Malaysia; the Philippines won Gold. He pitched in the 2006 Asian Games. In the 2006 Intercontinental Cup, the little right-hander had a 0-1, 10.32 record but nearly led the poor staff in ERA, slightly behind Darwin dela Calzada. Baclay gave up 20 hits in 11 1/3 IP in the event.
Baclay allowed 6 hits, 2 walks and 3 runs in 1 2/3 IP in the 2007 Asian Championship. He won Silver in the 2007 Southeast Asian Games.
