Biographical Information[edit]
Robert Braddy was a very successful college coach.
He was All-Southwestern Athletic Conference as a pitcher at Jackson State then coached at Florence High School. He returned to Jackson State as head coach from 1973-2000, winning a SWAC-record 824 games. He won SWAC Coach of the Year nine times. Among the major leaguers he developed were Oil Can Boyd, Dave Clark, Wes Chamberlain, Curt Ford and Marvin Freeman. He also spent time as Jackson State's Athletic Director. In 2016, he was named to the College Baseball Hall of Fame.
