Biographical Information

Twenty-five years after playing his last big league game, Curt Ford unwittingly made the news on March 26, 2015, when he was the victim of an apparent racist attack in the St. Louis, MO area, where racial tensions had been high ever since the shooting of an unarmed black youth by police the previous summer. He was walking into a convenience store when a man hurled racial insults at him and punched him without provocation. The suspect was arrested and charged with felony third-degree assault motivated by discrimination.
