Rob English

Biographical Information

Rob English was a long-time scout for the Atlanta Braves (at least 1991-2001) and Boston Red Sox (2002 through at least 2012), focusing on Georgia. He had previously coached Briarcliff High School (1970-1980) and Brookwood High School in Georgia. He signed a number of major leaguers, some in low rounds. Among his signees were John Rocker, Adam Wainwright, Nick Green, Kyle Davies, Matt Murton, Aaron Taylor, Blaine Boyer, Macay McBride, Jason Place, Josh Reddick, Josh Burrus, Michael Chavis, Brandon Moss, Hunter Strickland, Andrew Pinckney and Richard Lewis.
