Greenwich is located in southwestern Connecticut, on Long Island Sound at the border of New York, east of Port Chester, NY and west of Stamford, CT. The city was constituted from a number of pre-existing cities which are now neighborhoods, such as Byram, CT, Cos Cob, CT and Old Greenwich, CT.
