Rick Bradley spent four years in AAA yet never made the majors.

Bradley helped the University of Texas win the 1975 College World Series and was named as one of the All-Tournament outfielders. He would spend his pro career almost entirely at catcher, though; another oddity was the fact that the All-Tournament catcher in that Series was also named Rick and was also born May 19, 1954 - Rick Cerone. The San Francisco Giants took him in the second round of the 1975 amateur draft. He debuted at AAA with the Phoenix Giants, holding his own at .253/.311/.321. Demoted to AA in 1976, he hit .270/.334/.410 for the Lafayette Drillers. He was named the Texas League's All-Star catcher. It would be his only time below AAA.

Bradley split 1977 between Phoenix (.293/.344/.473 in 77 G) and the Indianapolis Indians (.229/.243/.314 in 26 G). With Phoenix in '78, the 24-year-old batted .264/.329/.377 while splitting the catching with Dennis Littlejohn. Rick ended his career with the 1979 Phoenix club, struggling at .192/.300/.273.
