The Lafayette Drillers began play in the Texas League in 1975 when the Amarillo Giants relocated to Lafayette, Louisiana. After just two seasons, the team moved again and became the Tulsa Drillers.
For their entire existence, the home ballpark of the Drillers was Clark Field.
