Biographical Information[edit]
Rich Morales has played, coached and scouted. He is the son of former major league infielder Rich Morales.
Morales played for the 1989 San Bernardino Spirit, hitting .327/.448/.418 as the backup catcher behind Jim Campanis. He split 1990 between San Bernardino (.232/.283/.280 in 34 G) and the Calgary Cannons (0 for 7, HBP). From 2006-2010, Morales scouted for the Baltimore Orioles in Texas, signing Jay Gonzalez. He won the Jim Russo Scout of the Year Award for Baltimore in 2010.
